Objectives
The Association aims at promoting the healthy development of electrical construction business and its related business, contributing to the progress of people's security and well-being and public welfare, reconstructing industry, and enhancing culture.
History
- Jul 26,1948:
- The Association was founded with the name of Electrical Construction Society.
- Nov 2,1950:
- The Association was approved by the Construction Minister as an aggregate corporation.
- Jun 5,1969:
- The statuses of the electrical construction companies and those which manufacture and sell electrical construction materials were all changed to Regular Members to reorganize the Association into a new type of organization which unifies construction, manufacture and sale. The Association was renamed as Japan Electrical Construction Association, Inc., or JECA
- May 18,1984:
- Fellow trade organizations in all prefectures joined JECA in their capacity as Regular Members together with those which exclusively deal in electrical construction work, in an effort to dramatically strengthen and expand the organization as a group specializing in electrical construction business. Resultantly, we requested those manufacturing and selling electrical construction materials to continue cooperation with us in their capacity as supporting members.
Characteristics of JECA
- The Japan Electric Construction Association, or JECA, is the only nationwide association dedicated to electrical construction business and authorized by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transportation (formerly the Ministry of Construction).
- Members' voices are reflected in the measures and policies of the JECA Headquarters and carried into actual implementation.
- We make a representation to political, government, and business circles for their recognition of the wishes of the industry.
- Members have prompt access to information on construction administration, markets, etc.
- Lectures and workshops are held at various locations nationwide on topics of members' interest, including the acquisition of qualifications, enhancing technical skills and technologies, improving corporate management, etc.
- Monthly copies of DENSETSU-GIJUTSU (Electrical Construction Engineering), a technical magazine, are distributed.
- We hold Electric Construction Equipment and Material Fair, an exhibition of electrical construction materials.

Electrical Construction Equipment and Materials Fair
We hold Electrical Construction Equipment and Materials Fair with the objectives of encouraging manufacturers and sellers in various parts of Japan to show an array of new products such as devices for electrical equipment, materials, and tools to companies hoping to place orders as well as designers and electrical construction workers, and of contributing to the development of outstanding electrical equipment. Exhibitors also display their new products at Product Contests with the aim of winning one of the nine major awards including the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Award and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry Award. The fair is held each year alternately in Tokyo and Osaka.
We send to an observation delegation to other countries in every year.
